Basic Tools Used to Manage Weather Risks in Construction Projects
Weather risks are highly challenging to construction projects, which may lead to delays, added costs, andrisk to safety. Proper management of the risks is highly vital to maintain project success. Weatherforecasting systems, risk assessment models, contingency planning, scheduling software, and contractualclauses are the basic tools in managing weather-related risks in construction. Through the integration ofthese technologies, project managers can forecast unfavorable weather, make decisions based on thatinformation, and apply adaptive measures to reduce disruptions. The research emphasizes the value ofproactive planning and real-time monitoring in improving resilience and efficiency in managingconstruction projects.
