It is built with care, reflection, and open intent, recognizing that language is sacred and that no translation is ever perfect. The purpose of this work is not to impose meaning, but to offer a tool for connection—across cultures, across systems, across time. We acknowledge the depth and sovereignty of every language. Abstract

Statement of Intent Te Tauākī Whāinga ENGLISH This paper is part of a collaborative research project undertaken by individuals, not institutions. It is built with care, reflection, and open intent, recognizing that language is sacred and that no translation is ever perfect. The purpose of this work is not to impose meaning, but to offer a tool for connection—across cultures, across systems, across time. We acknowledge the depth and sovereignty of every language. This translation into Te Reo Māori was made with respect, not to appropriate, but to honor the rhythms of another worldview. The Protolanguage Buffer is not a replacement for language, but a companion for listening. If any part of this work causes harm or appears careless in cultural handling, we welcome correction. This is an open project. We are learning. MĀORI He wāhanga tēnei pepa nō tētahi kaupapa rangahau mahi ngātahi, nā ngā tāngata, ehara i te whakahaere. He kaupapa tuwhera tēnei.
