Pro Fit Sports
In many universities, sports facilities play a vital role in promoting physical activity, collaboration, and mental well-being among students. However, existing booking systems for these facilities often come with several limitations, such as the absence of real-time availability data, poorly designed user interfaces, and restricted access to sports equipment for non-club members. These issues can significantly reduce student participation in sports and create unnecessary barriers to maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. To address these concerns, this project proposes the development of a web-based platform that offers real-time venue availability, a user-friendly dashboard, and an integrated equipment rental system. Developed using Visual Studio and tested through demo sessions with expert users, the system was designed through a UI-first development approach and structured around five main modules: User Authentication, Dashboard Overview, Venue Availability Search, Club Information, and Equipment Rental. The platform received highly positive feedback during user testing, especially in terms of usability and overall experience compared to the existing Sport Facility Booking system. While not yet deployed, the prototype successfully demonstrates a functional and scalable solution that enhances the current reservation process. This project also won first place in a competition among students within the same batch, reflecting its innovation and practical impact. The system presents strong potential for institutional adoption and wider implementation in other educational environments, with the aim of promoting a healthier, more engaged student community through improved access to sports resources.
