CURRENT STATUS OF ECO-VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT IN UKRAINE

The article reveals the current state of development of ecological settlements in Ukraine. The authors draw attention to the peculiarities of ecological settlements, their differences from other types of modern settlements. Ecological settlements are a fairly young phenomenon and originated as an echo of the «hippie» culture. At the same time, the popularity of this type of settlements in recent years is due to the desire of humanity to preserve the environment, to harmoniously combine human habitation in an ecologically clean environment. The authors draw attention to the special importance of ecological settlements in Ukraine during the war, as they became important centers of accommodation and shelter for internally displaced persons from combat zones.
