Abstract This research investigated the influence of Fabricated Motor Generator Device based instructions on students Motivation, in Energy among colleges of education students in North-West, Nigeria. The study adopted quasi – experimental research design. The population of the study comprised of all Nigeria Certificate in Education 1 students of 2024/2025 academic session. The sample was made up of 100 N.C.E.1 students of colleges of Education from North-West geopolitical zone, Nigeria. Two research questions were answered in the study. The research instrument used was Motivation psychometric test adopted from Bin Dayel,2018 for data collection with little modification. Motivation psychometric test was validated by three experts to obtain a reliability coefficient of 0.85 using test retest reliability method. Mean and standard deviation was used to answer the research questions. Result obtained from the study revealed that students that were taught Energy Concepts using fabricated Motor-Generator Device based instructions are motivated higher than those taught using lecture method with a mean gain of 8.26 against 6.73 and female students are highly motivated with mean gain of 8.73 than the male students with mean gain of 7.94. In conclusion, therefore science teachers are advised to use Motor-Generator Device based instruction in teaching Energy concepts in colleges of educations. Finally, is was recommended that lecturers in colleges of Education should expose their students to Motor-Generator based instructions and that male students should be given more attention as female students are motivated higher than male students.
