Annotation: This article examines the self-perception and attitude of the English people to the color component. Based on the analysis of “color” phraseological units taken from the works of English writers, reference books, the article provides an opportunity to study the semantics of phraseological units containing the English color element, to study the culture of judicial and spiritual studies. The student will discover new phraseological units for himself, but also learn the symbolic meanings of flowers and some tools of the English people. Based on the analysis of the approximate values of phraseological units with a color component, it was possible to find out the different attitudes to color in the axiological picture of the world of speakers of the studied language.
