A Sustainable Solution for CO Capture, Freshwater Production, and Climate Mitigation: An Integrated System of Solar Desalination Buoys, Algae Cultivation, and Acueducts
This article presents an innovative approach to climate change mitigation, integrating CO₂ capture technologies, albedo modification, and iron supplementation in the Arctic ecosystem. The proposal aims to reduce global temperatures by up to 2 °C through a combination of natural and technological strategies. By implementing systems involving algae and mussel cultivation, reflective buoys, and iron fertilization, the article addresses both global warming mitigation and the restoration of vulnerable marine ecosystems. Case studies and an analysis of ecological and economic implications are presented, positioning this solution as one of the most comprehensive and viable approaches in the current climate change context.
