Prototypes of three new improved phaseolus vulgaris l. local varieties produced, validated, certified, and approved for release (D5.2)

This documentation forms the basis for the selection, production and validation of the project prototypes of four New Bean lines. It includes the prototype objectives, general considerations and recommendations. Specifically, the prototype section provides a scientific-technological description of the R&I process carried out to realize the prototypes (innovative method and products) as result of the testing phase in lab / at small-scale level (WP4) and feedback gathered from the in-field validation (WP5). According to the impact pathway approach, it describes the conducted activities, the reached outputs and outcomes, and the obtained measures of relevant key performance indicators demonstrating the impact. This deliverable moves from report D4.6 produced at the end of the testing phase, and it will be integrated with the results obtained from the characterization task (D5.16), the measurements of the generated impacts (D5.22), and the operational documentation – practice abstracts (D6.5) and training materials (D5.1) – aimed to provide instructions on the implementation and management of the prototypes, thus ensuring their full functionality and usability.
