Extraction and Chromatographic Separation of Bioactive Compounds from Croton Bonplandianum: A Green Chemistry Approach

This study focuses on the green extraction and purification of bioactive compounds from Crotonbonplandianum, collected from the banks of River Yamuna near Naini, Allahabad. Ethanol, a sustainablesolvent, was employed for extraction, followed by concentration using rotary evaporation. Subsequentseparation and identification of organic constituents were performed using Column Chromatography andThin Layer Chromatography (TLC). This methodology emphasizes the retention of bioactive compoundsand solvent recovery, aligning with green chemistry principles.
