Analysis of Academic Engagement in Technical Education Students: multiple case studies
Student academic engagement is a key indicator of educational success, especially in technical contexts. The objective of this study was to analyze the factors that impact the academic engagement of technical education students in a public educational institution, through the case study of three different sections. The study was developed from a qualitative-descriptive perspective and non-experimental design, in which non-participant observation and structured interviews were used with three sections of students in a technical program. The data from the study were organized into central categories that allowed the identification of behaviors involved with academic engagement and the underlying causes.
