The Digital SKR Standard: Bridging Planetary Value with Digital Liquidity for Global Monetary Stability

Abstract This paper addresses the systemic limitations of the contemporary fiat-based monetary system, characterized by constraints on liquidity creation and eroding confidence in debt-based currency. It proposes a novel hybrid methodology, grounded in the Earth Monetary Supply (EMS) framework, to establish a justifiable basis for digital money creation. Central to this approach is the Earth Valuation (EV), a comprehensive, multi-quadrillion-dollar empirical assessment of the planet's total natural and anthropogenic wealth. This valuation serves as the foundational collateral for Digital Safe Keeping Receipts (DSKRs), tokenized, auditable claims on specific, quantified segments of planetary value. These DSKRs function as 'Digital Vaults,' forming the reserve assets for a new global stablecoin, the EarthDollar (ED), thereby bridging tangible planetary value with digital liquidity. The paper details the operational taxonomy for managing this system through the novel EMS aggregates: ME2 (the foundational, non-circulating reserve sphere), ME1 (the circulating operational economy), and ME0 (a strategic incentive layer for rewarding productive, value-creating activities). A hybrid architecture is proposed, featuring a centralized EarthBank for governance and regulatory compliance, while leveraging blockchain for transparent asset management. Furthermore, it outlines how programmable features, such as the EarthTax (ET), can be embedded to create a dynamic, self-stabilizing monetary system. Ultimately, this methodology presents a framework for reinforcing the global financial system by providing access to a near-infinite, real-world asset base, enabling the creation of a stable, auditable, and sustainable digital currency.
