The Timeless Value of the Indian Knowledge System for present and future of Bharat

Abstract: The Indian Knowledge System, encompassing Ayurveda, Yoga, mathematics, and astronomy, has made significant contributions to global knowledge and well-being. Ayurveda emphasizes holistic health, personalized treatments, and natural remedies, while Yoga promotes physical, mental, and spiritual balance. Ancient Indian mathematicians and astronomers developed groundbreaking concepts, such as zero, the decimal system, and heliocentric theory. This paper explores the philosophies, practices, and benefits of these ancient sciences, highlighting their relevance and potential applications in addressing modern challenges and shaping the future of Bharat. Objectives: 1. To explore the philosophies and principles of Ayurveda and Yoga, and their relevance in promoting holistic health and well-being. 2. To examine the contributions of ancient Indian mathematicians and astronomers, and their impact on modern science and mathematics. 3. To highlight the practical applications and benefits of integrating Ayurveda, Yoga, mathematics, and astronomy into contemporary practices and policies. 4. To emphasize the importance of preserving and promoting the Indian Knowledge System for cultural identity, innovation, and sustainable development. To explore the contributions of the Vedic civilization to geography and to understand how these contributions influenced the development of later Indian civilizations
