Study on Drainage System of Road Pavement in Faridpur Municipality
The ability of a specific pavement to survive the effects of traffic and the environment depends in part on its drainage system. The contractor must take all necessary measures to protect the drainage system during the design and execution of the work to keep the road dry, even though many roads suffer from poor conditions for various reasons. One such cause is inadequate drainage. The strength of the pavement reduces as moisture content rises. Pavement prematurely fails due to poor drainage. The study covers the many implications of poor drainage on the state of roads. Low capacity, soil accumulation, a lack of inlets, improper maintenance, and crossing culverts all contributed to the drainage system's problems. The solutions to these issues point to the necessity of carrying out tasks like adhering to the drainage design handbook when designing and building a road's drainage system. To avoid these issues, routinely maintain and clean the drainage systems and eliminate waste solids. Enhancing drainage infrastructure through maintenance, redesign, and building will lessen the impact of shoddy workmanship during drainage road development.
