Guardians of the Future: Protecting Child Rights in a Changing World
Abstract Children, who are sometimes viewed as the most vulnerable members of society, confront tremendous obstacles in exercising their basic rights. This article investigates the socio-legal frameworks that are intended to preserve and promote children's rights globally. It covers the historical development of children's rights from early legal documents like the Magna Carta to current international treaties like the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). The research focuses on recurring worldwide concerns such as child labour, trafficking, a lack of access to education, and violence against children, while also investigating successful case studies of empowerment and transformation. This study highlights gaps in the application of children's rights and offers doable suggestions for strengthening institutional, social, and legal frameworks by examining the functions of international organizations, national governments, and grassroots movements. Finally, this study emphasizes the critical need for a worldwide effort to empower children by ensuring that their voices are heard and their rights are protected in all aspects of life.
