EcoGuard: A GIS-Based Web Application for Mangrove Conservation and Beach Pollution Management
EcoGuard is a GIS-based web application designed to support mangrove conservation and beach pollution management in coastal areas of India. The system integrates geospatial mapping, environmental monitoring, and AI/ML-powered predictive analytics to identify and visualize critical ecological threats. Built using modern web technologies, EcoGuard offers a user-friendly platform for real-time monitoring, spatial data visualization, and risk prediction. The project aims to assist environmental researchers, policy makers, and the general public in making informed decisions regarding coastal and marine ecosystem protection. This research was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Ujwala Sav at Vidyalankar School of Information Technology, University of Mumbai, as part of an MSc IT research project.
