Nonlinear Time Dynamics: Extending General Relativity Through Curvature Corrections and Emergent Temporal Phenomena
This work explores the hypothesis that time is not a fundamental linear dimension but an emergent property arising from the nonlinear dynamics of spacetime curvature. Motivated by the limitations of classical time descriptions and the persistent challenges of quantum gravity, we extend the Einstein-Hilbert action by incorporating higher-order curvature corrections. This framework allows us to investigate temporal anomalies within a unified theoretical context. Analytical solutions are obtained via perturbation methods employing multiple scales, and their validity is confirmed through comprehensive numerical simulations. Recent approaches to emergent time in quantum gravity are reviewed to position our contribution within the broader landscape of current research.
