Criticism of the efficiency of job centres was published by various stakeholders at the latest in the context of ‘budget savings proposals’ and the 2025 federal election campaign in Germany. Rising administrative costs, in particular due to reallocations from the integration budget, were accompanied by falling placement rates. This does not appear to be the case - on the contrary, there are data-based indications that rising administrative costs can go hand in hand with rising placement rates. The results of the analysis of the correlation are presented here.
