Comparative Analysis of Comfort Properties Between Knitted and Woven Fabrics for Practical Applications
This research explores the comparative comfort properties of knitted and woven fabrics for practical end-use applications. Using secondary data and literature analysis, the study examines key parameters such as stretchability, air permeability, moisture management, and tactile softness. Findings suggest that knitted fabrics are generally superior in comfort and elasticity, making them ideal for activewear and casual garments. In contrast, woven fabrics provide better durability and structure, making them suitable for formal and workwear applications. This paper serves as a guide for students, researchers, and industry professionals to understand appropriate fabric choices based on performance.
