BASIC PRINCIPLES OF PRICING IN HEALTHCARE (DOMESTIC APPROACH)

This article describes the basic principles of pricing in the healthcare system of Kazakhstan, as the healthcare market differs from other markets in at least two important ways.: third-party payments for insured consumers and a fundamental imbalance in health information and knowledge between patients and doctors. When healthcare providers can meet their cost-sharing obligations, paying a third party often protects them from additional costs for decisions related to their medical care.
