The Relationship of User Mood and Multi-feature AI-Powered Mood App

This research investigates the impact of a multi-featured AI-powered mood support system—The Mood—on emotional awareness and well-being among Senior High School students. Designed as an accessible digital ecosystem, the project integrates a mobile application (built with .NET MAUI), a Facebook Messenger chatbot, and a promotional website. The study examines how a diverse delivery of mood support (via mobile, chat, and web) increases accessibility, engagement, and self-awareness. Through quantitative and qualitative feedback, we explore the user experience, perceived helpfulness, and potential of AI companions to offer emotional support. It also evaluates how accessibility—especially through free data access and chatbot messaging—can reach users with limited resources, further democratizing mental wellness support. This research is part of a student-led initiative combining app development, UX analysis, AI integration, and business planning under the guidance of the STI College SHS program.
