A STUDY OF IMAGE RHETORIC TRANSLATION IN ' BLUE FLAME ' FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF RHETORICAL COGNITION —TAKING XUE QINGGUO 'S TRANSLATION AS AN EXAMPLE
'Blue Flame ' is a collection of letters written by Gibran to Maye Ziyadé, which has a very high literary value. In these letters, Gibran uses a lot of image rhetoric to describe scenery, express feelings and reason, especially metaphor and metaphor. This paper takes the Arabic image rhetoric in the collection of the letter as the research object, guided by the theory of rhetorical cognition, selects typical examples, discusses the treatment methods of these rhetoric in the translation of Xue Qingguo 's teacher, and draws the following conclusions : After combing the original text of the image rhetoric in the collection of the letter with the translation, it can be found that the conversion strategy selected by the translator in translation is mainly to convert rhetorical cognition into rhetorical cognition, and sometimes conceptual cognition into rhetorical cognition, but there is almost no conversion of rhetorical cognition into conceptual cognition. Gibran is unique in writing, good at using rhetoric and esoteric in language. Therefore, when translating similar works with strong literariness, Gibran should adopt the transformation from rhetoric cognition to rhetoric cognition, supplemented by conceptual cognition to rhetoric cognition, and pay attention to retaining the rhetorical features of the original text, so as not to destroy the literariness of the original text as much as possible.
