The Transcendental Universe: Scale Invariance from Elementary Particles to Cosmic Structures
The Transcendental Universe: Scale Invariance from Elementary Particles to Cosmic Structures This paper presents evidence for a mathematical relationship governing mass distribution across approximately 60 orders of magnitude, from elementary particles to cosmic structures. Through rigorous statistical analysis, we demonstrate that a modified power law incorporating the transcendental numbers π (pi) and φ (phi, the golden ratio) accurately describes mass hierarchies in both quantum and astronomical domains. Our model successfully predicts the masses of fundamental particles (electron, muon, tau, quarks) with mean deviation under 5% and extends to stellar and galactic objects with comparable accuracy. The mathematical framework is based on the equation: M(g) = M₀·exp(β·f(g,α,φ)) Where M₀ is a reference mass, β is a dimensionless scaling parameter, and f(g,α,φ) is a scale-invariant function incorporating the fine structure constant α and golden ratio φ. The results are fully reproducible using the included Python script (transcendental-universe-python.py), which implements the mathematical model, validates against observed mass data, and generates publication-quality visualizations. This work suggests deeper connections between quantum and cosmic scales than previously recognized, potentially offering new insights into longstanding problems including dark matter composition, mass quantization, and the generation of physical constants. Statistical validation through Monte Carlo methods confirms that these patterns are statistically significant and unlikely to occur by chance. The paper includes comprehensive mathematical details, error analysis, alternative model comparisons, and specific testable predictions for future experiments in both particle physics and astronomy.
