L'effetto della pandemia da Covid-19 sul benessere dell'infanzia e dell'adolescenza in Piemonte. Una ricerca interdisciplinare e partecipata per progettare politiche sociali in risposta alle crisi
Between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024, the University of Turin conducted the research project "The Impact of COVID-19 on Children's and Adolescents’ Well-being in Piedmont", funded by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Torino. The initiative involved seven university departments and key partners such as Save the Children Italy and the Children’s and Adolescents’ Ombudsman of the Piedmont Region. Its objective was to assess the pandemic’s impact on young people and develop policy recommendations for public institutions and third-sector organizations. The methodology was both participatory and interdisciplinary: children and adolescents from schools and hospitals acted as researchers, exploring well-being in family, school, and healthcare contexts. Their findings were discussed with peers at the University of Turin’s "A Day at the University" initiative. Meanwhile, young scholars from different disciplines conducted a systematic review of existing research, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue. The study led to five strategic policy recommendations aimed at improving child and adolescent well-being
