A Field Study to Examine the Impact of Training as a Mediating Variable on the Relationship Between Academic Support and the Performance Quality of Undergraduate Students at Qatar University and Their Preparation as Leaders

AbstractThis study aims to identify the impact of training as a mediating variable on the relationshipbetween academic support and the performance quality of undergraduate students at QatarUniversity and their preparation as leaders. The philosophy adopted in this study aligns withthe positive school, and the chosen methodology is quantitative. The study populationconsists of students at Qatar University. Using the Typeform platform, the researcherdesigned and randomly distributed a questionnaire across the university, obtaining 280complete responses. All submitted questionnaires were complete due to a condition requiringparticipants to answer all questions to proceed and complete the form. Thus, the actualsample size is 280 students from the Qatar University community. The study relied on several basic statistical analyses, including regression analysis and pathanalysis. One of the most significant findings is that training mediates the relationshipbetween academic support and student performance quality. Achieving effective academicsupport requires the presence of training programs and strategies, including supplementallessons aimed at providing motivational support, individual attention, and educationalguidance. Academic support at Qatar University focuses on equipping students with theskills, capabilities, and knowledge necessary to achieve their academic, professional, andpersonal goals.Among the most notable scientific contributions of the study are: organizing workshopscentered on leadership, launching mentoring programs and activities that enhance leadershipskills, promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration among students, and developingrobust assessment methods to collect feedback from students and academic staff to improvecurrent programs.
