THE IMPACT OF ECOWAS ECONOMIC SANCTIONS ON THE STABILITY OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY AND THE POLITICS OF THE REPUBLIC OF MALI

The article presents the results of an assessment of the impact of economic sanctions imposed by the Economic Community of West African Countries (ECOWAS) on the macroeconomic stability of the economy and the political regime of the Republic of Mali in 2016-2024. It is shown that the sanctions imposed have significantly limited Mali's ability to achieve the convergence criteria set by the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) and ECOWAS, causing problems in servicing external debt, rising inflation and liquidity problems associated with the termination of external financial assistance. In order to achieve macroeconomic stability of the economy, the authors propose recommendations in the field of state anti-crisis regulation of the national economy.
