ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE FUNCTION OF GLOBAL HEALTH ARGUMENTS FOR AND AGAINST25

AbstractThis paper explores the role of artificial intelligence in global healthcare, with a focus on itsadvantages and challenges. Given the increasing integration of artificial intelligence into medicalpractices, the aim of this review is to present the current applications of artificial intelligence, as wellas the ethical and practical dilemmas that arise from its use. The paper begins by defining artificialintelligence and its development in medicine, followed by an analysis of the advantages, such asimproved diagnostics, personalized medicine, and optimization of healthcare resources. Thebenefits include reduced healthcare costs, improved efficiency in service delivery, and thepotential for early disease detection, which can significantly impact treatment outcomes. However, the paper also discusses challenges, including ethical concerns, the possibility of diagnostic errors, and access to healthcare technology. The discussion compares arguments for and against, whilethe conclusions offer guidelines for future research and evaluation of the utility of artificialintelligence in global health. Keywords: artificial intelligence, global health, medical technology, ethics, personalized medicine, diagnostics, healthcare systems
