USING TOTAL NETWORK POWER ANALYSIS TO DETERMINE NEUTRAL WIRE BREAKS AND RESULTING OVERVOLTAGES
A method for determining the arising overvoltages in the network when the neutral wire is broken is developed, which is based on the analysis of changes in the nature of the total power of the three-phase network. At the same time, the algorithm of operation of the microprocessor device is built in such a way that when only the values of phase currents are received at the input, the value of overvoltage is obtained at its output. For this purpose, the power analysis is carried out not in a real network, but in a converted one, in which test phase voltages formed by the microprocessor are used.Since only the values of phase currents are used in the construction of current protections, surge protection can be successfully implemented in the circuit breaker trip. At the same time, any expansion of the network infrastructure (voltage transformers, power supplies, etc.) will not be required.
