USING COLLABORATIVE TASKS TO ASSESS LEXICAL COMPETENCE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL LEARNERS
Assessing lexical competence in middle school students is crucial for their language development, yet traditional assessment methods may not fully capture their vocabulary skills. Collaborative tasks, where students work together, offer an engaging and dynamic alternative. This article explores the benefits, strategies for implementation, and challenges associated with using collaborative tasks to evaluate vocabulary knowledge in middle school learners. The findings suggest that such tasks can enhance language development and provide valuable insights into students' lexical competence.
