Virtual Fitting Rooms: The Intersection of Computer Vision, MediaPipe, and OpenCV
Abstract— Virtual fitting room is a cutting-edge technology that allows users to upload their full-body image and virtually try on dresses. Through technologies like MediaPipe to compute body pose estimation and segmentation, OpenCV to handle image processing, and Flask to build a backend, the system precisely analyzes users' skin tone and body shape. It suggests appropriate dresses based on this analysis. The React framework drives the frontend with user experience that feels intuitive and interactive. When a dress is chosen, the virtual try-on feature overlays clothes over users' pictures with a realistic effect. It enables users to see if clothes fit and look good on them without actually trying clothes on.
