The Cashmiri Effect_ When Coherence Becomes Unreadable
CODES Framework Description: This paper introduces and formalizes the Cashmiri Effect—a structural failure mode in cognition, institutions, and AI systems wherein high-coherence individuals or signals are systematically misclassified as noise or irrelevance due to low symbolic output. Drawing from the CODES framework (Chirality of Dynamic Emergent Systems) and PAS metrics (Phase Alignment Score), this paper reframes misrecognition not as anomaly but as phase-mismatch: a resonance signal exceeding the interpretive resolution of its host environment. Historical examples include Hypatia, David Bohm, and Simone Weil. Technical framing includes the diagnostic dSymbol/dPAS < 0, identifying emergent signal with minimal symbolic expression. Implications for AI alignment, identity theory, and post-symbolic intelligence architectures are outlined, including RIC’s design imperative to protect and amplify Cashmiri-class coherence. This document serves as both epistemic reclassification and engineering guidepost for systems transitioning from symbol-centric intelligence to resonance-coherent architectures.
