CREATİVİTY-BASED MUSİC LESSONS: THE ROLE OF MODERN PEDAGOGİCAL TECHNOLOGİES

This article explores the importance of creativity-oriented approaches in music education and the role of modern pedagogical technologies in supporting these approaches. In today’s educational systems, the development of not only knowledge but also creative thinking, aesthetic taste, and personal expression is a central goal. Music lessons, by their very nature, provide a fertile ground for achieving these objectives. However, realizing this potential fully requires the integration of innovative methods and technologies into the teaching process. The article analyzes the specific features of creativity in music education and argues that lessons should not be limited to the transmission of information, but should transform into interactive activities that encourage reflection, exploration, and the creation of musical ideas. In this context, the teacher’s role shifts from being a mere transmitter of knowledge to a facilitator who creates an environment that nurtures individual talents and fosters creativity. Modern pedagogical technologies—such as interactive lesson models, project-based learning, digital music platforms, multimedia tools, game-based learning, and problem-oriented instruction—offer broad opportunities for creative activities in music classes. These tools not only enhance students' active engagement with music but also contribute significantly to their emotional and intellectual development. Moreover, creativity-based lessons empower students to act not only as performers but also as composers and analysts. Based on both local and international experiences, the article examines the practical application and pedagogical effectiveness of these technologies. The findings suggest that promoting creativity in music education improves the overall quality of instruction and positively influences students’ emotional well-being and social competencies. The study concludes that teacher training programs must emphasize the practical implementation of modern pedagogical technologies, schools should support the creation of a creative learning environment, and flexible teaching models should be adopted to encourage student initiative.
