This article proposes an original and rigorous sociological theory centered on the symbolic delegation of the self within hypermediated digital environments. Using a theoretical-interpretative approach, four interrelated conceptual categories are developed: symbolic delegation of the self, symbolic tertiary mediation of the self, digital superinterface, and digital technohabitat. These categories enable an analysis of the profound reconfiguration of contemporary subjectivity in algorithmic ecosystems, where agency, identity, and performativity are distributed across emotional, social, labor, and economic relationships. The theory expands on Encinas Mendoza’s (2025) conceptual framework by incorporating the notions of digital superinterface and technohabitat to comprehensively understand the emergence of technologically mediated and tertiary subjectivities. Its applicability is demonstrated through phenomena associated with artificial intelligence and digital applications, providing a robust and self-sufficient epistemological framework for 21st-century sociology.
