Milburne, Henry (c. 1780? – ?)
This is a biography of Henry Milburne, an English surgeon, who volunteered in the Spanish Army during the Peninsular War. Initially rejected by officials, he travelled independently to Spain, offering medical aid to soldiers and civilians. His published account of the Battle of Corunna led to his appointment as a medical officer under Samuel Ford Whittingham. He later became Inspector of the Spanish Royal Hospitals in the Balearic Islands.
