Innovation and Entrepreneur in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Transforming Economies and Shaping the Future
Abstract: Innovation drives economic growth, technological progress, and societal transformation, while entrepreneurship serves as a key channel for commercializing innovations. This study explores the relationship between technological innovations and entrepreneurial activities, emphasizing Schumpeter’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Theory. The theory highlights "creative destruction," where innovations disrupt markets and create new opportunities, facilitated by business models that convert ideas into viable ventures. The research examines startup success stories from Madhya Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir, showcasing AI-driven solutions in agriculture, supply chain management, ed-tech, and tourism. These innovations address local challenges, enhance productivity, and promote economic inclusion. However, a gap in India’s education system leaves many entrepreneurs struggling with low innovation capabilities. The study also highlights the evolving role of business incubators, hackerspaces, business angels, and joint venture capital in fostering startups and SMEs. Case studies and theoretical insights provide a comprehensive view of AI’s impact on innovation and entrepreneurship in emerging economies, shaping the future of business resilience and technological adaptation.
