INFLUENCE OF THE WORKING PARTS OF THE SCREW CLEANER ON THE PROCESS

This study investigates the influence of the working parts of the screw cleaner on the cotton cleaning process, focusing on parameters such as rotational speed, diameter, length, and pitch of the spiked screw. Theoretical and experimental analyses reveal that optimal cleaning efficiency is achieved at a rotational speed range of 7–7.5 m/s and a screw pitch of 70 mm. Reducing the screw diameter to 400 mm enhances efficiency without compromising productivity, while a diameter of 300 mm increases efficiency but reduces output. The research also highlights that impurity separation follows a hyperbolic curve along the screw length, with the highest efficiency observed in the initial 7–8 meters. The findings emphasize the importance of adhering to technological regulations to improve cleaning efficiency and fiber quality, providing valuable insights for optimizing screw cleaner designs in the cotton industry.
