ENHANCING THE METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING GRAMMATICAL COMPETENCE IN THE SPEECH OF FUTURE ENGINEERING STUDENTS BASED ON A COGNITIVE APPROACH
This study focuses on refining a methodology grounded in cognitive approaches to improve the grammatical competence of future engineering students in spoken English. Employing a mixed-methods design, the research integrates cognitive linguistic principles with task-based grammar instruction tailored for engineering contexts. Results indicate significant progress in grammatical accuracy and spontaneous speech production. The findings underscore the importance of cognitive engagement and contextualized practice for effective grammar acquisition in ESP settings.
