ORIGINEA ȘI DEZVOLTAREA PRAZNICULUI CINCIZECIMII ÎN TRADIȚIA LITURGICĂ A RĂSĂRITULUI ORTODOX

In the New Testament, Pentecost takes on a new meaning; it is the beginningof the work of the Comforter whom the Son promised to send into the world. Through him theChurch is constituted and we are introduced into the age to come, characterized by a newdimension of human life which is enriched and imbued with the grace of the Holy Spirit. Wecontinued with an exposition of the history of the development of this feast in the Easternliturgical tradition, highlighting the testimonies of the Holy Fathers concerning the developmentof this feast throughout the early Christian centuries. The Pentecost event is the moment in whichthe Trinity pneumatically punctuates history, underlining and fulfilling the intimacy of themetaphysical relationship with the human, plunging into the being the uncreated divine energythat heals the wounds of sin that cause the death of the soul. This presence remains unique andunrepeatable in the history of salvation, humanity being, at the same time, dependent on theParaclete - Who assumes time by softening it, in a holy, redemptive breath, up to the Eshaton.
