Digital Banking: Legal and Financial Implication

Abstract: This research paper discusses the legal and financial challenges of digital banking, focusing on the rapid changes it brings to the financial sector. Digital banking has made managing money easier, faster, and more accessible for users. However, with this growth, new concerns have emerged, such as risks to cybersecurity, privacy of data, and the potential for fraud. These issues highlight the need for stronger laws and security measures to protect customers and ensure safe banking transactions. The paper also explores how digital banking can increase financial inclusion by reaching underserved communities, but it also points out the challenges of bridging the digital divide. Although digital banking offers many advantages, traditional banks are facing difficulties in adapting to these new technologies and gaining the trust of customers. The research provides recommendations for addressing these issues, such as improving security protocols, creating better laws to protect user data, promoting digital literacy, and ensuring that people without access to technology can still benefit from digital banking. By addressing these challenges, digital banking can continue to expand while minimizing risks, ultimately providing greater benefits to individuals and contributing to a more inclusive and secure financial system.
