The effect of a peptide adjuvant (YLQPRTFLL) on immune response against SARS-CoV-2 in Balb/C mice when vaccinated with saRNA LNPs
Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of Peptide Adjuvant on immune response against SARS-CoV-2 in Balb/C mice when vaccinated with saRNA LNPs combined with Peptide Adjuvant. It was found a high titer of IgG and IgA was seen (P<0.05) after immunization of BALB/c mice with saRNA LNPs and saRNA LNPs+ Peptide Adjuvant. The combination of Peptide Adjuvant with saRNA LNPs significantly increased the antibody titer (P<0.05). The high ratio of IgG2a/IgG1 indicated a Th1-biased responses in vaccinated mice. The secretion of IL-4 and IFN-γ in serum of vaccinated mice showed the significant differences in the mice vaccinated with saRNA LNPs and the mice vaccinated with saRNA LNPs and Peptide Adjuvant (P<0.05).
