INFLUENCE OF TIMING OF THROMBOLYTIC THERAPY ON NEUROLOGICAL OUTCOME IN PACIENTS WITH ISCHEMIC STROKE
Ischemic stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability in the world. One of the most effective treatments is thrombolytic therapy, the effectiveness of which directly depends on the time of its initiation. This study analyzes the effect of time from the onset of stroke symptoms to the administration of thrombolytics on the neurological outcome in patients. Retrospective analysis of patient data showed that early thrombolytic therapy (within 120-150 minutes) is associated with higher Glasgow Score (14-15 points), indicating better recovery of neurological functions. On the contrary, with an increase in the time before the start of treatment (210-220 minutes), lower Glasgow Score (10-12 points) are observed, which may indicate a worsening prognosis and more pronounced neurological deficit. The results confirm the critical importance of timely medical care for patients with ischemic stroke. Rapid diagnosis and minimization of the time before the administration of thrombolytics are key factors for improving treatment outcomes.
