ADVANCE SEMI-ELECTRIC TRUCK

The semi-electric truck project seeks to innovate the freight and logistics industry by developing a hybrid solution that blends the environmental benefits of electric vehicles with the practicality of traditional diesel-powered long-haul trucks. The primary objective is to create a vehicle capable of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and lowering operational costs without compromising on range or load capacity. This project investigates the feasibility of a semi-electric truck, incorporating an electric powertrain with a small internal combustion engine (ICE) for extended range. The research focuses on several key areas: the design of a hybrid powertrain that includes a high-capacity battery for electric propulsion and an efficient internal combustion engine for longer trips; energy management systems that optimize the use of both power sources; lightweight materials that increase the energy efficiency and durability of the truck; and the integration of advanced regenerative braking systems. Additionally, the project considers the practicalities of charging infrastructure, including fast-charging stations and battery swapping solutions, to ensure the truck remains operational in various regions with different infrastructure availability.
