ЧАС ТА ОБСТАВИНИ КАНОНІЗАЦІЇ КНЯГИНІ ОЛЬГИ
The article reveals a debatable and at the same time little-studied topic of the time of Queen Olga of Kyiv’s canonization. Based on a set of texts of the 11th century, the author proposes the conclusion that the beginnings of church veneration of Olga date back to the reign of Volodymyr the Great. However, the integral development of the church cult took place during the reign of Yaroslav the Wise in Kyiv. Obviously, the image of Olga replaced the image of Hanna Porphyrogenitus and developed as a paired cult at first, paired with her grandson – Volodymyr the Great. The cult of Queen Olga had been separated into an independent only since the 13th century.
