A Unified Physical Framework
This paper presents a new framework unifying classical mechanics, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and general relativity by reparametrising time as a function of cumulative entropy production—entropic time (τ). The approach offers a physically operational basis for time, grounded in measurable irreversibility, and generalises the d’Alembert principle to encompass dissipative, statistical, and quantum processes. This unified field theory provides new perspectives on time’s arrow, the emergence of structure, the resolution of classical and quantum paradoxes, regularity in fluid and gauge field equations. The manuscript clarifies the physical distinction between observable dissipative systems and mathematical abstractions, providing a foundation for further theoretical and experimental work. Please note that this manuscript has not yet been peer-reviewed and is subject to revision.
