Comparative Analysis of Family-Centered vs. Center-Based Early Intervention Models for Children with Developmental Disabilities
ABSTRACT This paper explores and compares the effectiveness of family-centered and center-based early intervention models for children with developmental disabilities. Early intervention is critical for children with developmental disabilities as it helps mitigate developmental delays and improve overall outcomes. This study aims to investigate the impact of two prevalent models—family-centered interventions, where the family plays an active role, and center-based interventions, where the child receives services at specialized centers. The paper assesses the effectiveness of these models in areas such as motor skills development, language acquisition, emotional regulation, and overall developmental outcomes.
