Electromagnetism as SU(2) Phase Geometry on a 4D Hypersphere
I present an alternative formulation of classical electrodynamics based on the geometry of SU(2) phase fields defined over a compact 4D hypersphere S3 [1,2]. In this framework, electric and magnetic phenomena emerge from the topological and differential properties of the SU(2) phase structure rather than from fields defined over flat spacetime. I show that Coulomb's law, electromagnetic waves, and the Maxwell equations can all be derived as limiting cases of phase gradients and topological currents in the SU(2) field. This model suggests new insights into charge quantization, vacuum structure, and nonlinear effects beyond Maxwell theory.
