INNOVATIVE AND ADAPTIVE HIGHER EDUCATION CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT TO THE DEMANDS OF EDUCATION 5.0
Abstract Education 5.0 is an educational concept that emphasizes the integration of advanced technology and humanistic approaches in the education system. This concept is a response to the challenges and changes that occur in the Society 5.0 era, which is a society that can solve various social problems by utilizing technological innovations such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and robots. In this context, the university curriculum needs to be developed to produce graduates who have competencies and characters that meet the needs of future society. This research aims to develop an innovative and adaptive college curriculum model to the demands of education 5.0. The research method used is the research and development method (Research and Development) using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data were collected through literature studies, interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The results showed that the developed curriculum model has five main characteristics, namely: (1) oriented towards 21st-century competencies that include creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration; (2) based on learning outcomes measured by authentic assessment rubrics; (3) using active, cooperative, and problem-based learning methods; (4) utilizing information and communication technology as media and learning resources; and (5) flexible and responsive to the needs and developments of students, society, and the world of work. This curriculum model is expected to improve the quality of higher education and produce graduates who are ready to face the challenges of the Society 5.0 era.
