Energy Innovation: Wind-Driven Rotor System with Elastic Coupling and Adjustable Eccentric Flywheel for Adaptive and Efficient Energy Generation
This project presents an innovative wind energy generation system that leverages an alternative conversion principle compared to traditional generators. The device features a rotor with aerodynamically balanced blades coupled to a flywheel equipped with an adjustable eccentric mass, mounted on a multi-axial elastic joint. The revolutionary aspect lies in decoupling the electrical load from the primary mechanical resistance, allowing the blades to rotate freely without slowing down due to electrical load. Energy is extracted by harnessing the lateral centrifugal force generated by the moving eccentric mass, which can be dynamically adjusted via a dedicated mechanical mechanism to optimize system efficiency and power output. The project is designed as an open, simple-to-replicate, and sustainable technology, capable of operating even with light winds, reducing maintenance costs, and improving sensitivity and resilience compared to traditional wind systems. It also clarifies how the system complies with fundamental physics and thermodynamics, addressing potential misunderstandings regarding an apparent energy paradox.
