OSCILLATORY PATTERN MEMORY AND HIERARCHICAL COHERENCE-BASED COGNITION ARCHITECTURE
A system and method for implementing cognition through hierarchical oscillatory pattern recognition, wherein patterns are encoded as phase relationships in oscillatory memory and recognized through phase-aligned collapse rather than symbolic comparison. The architecture comprises multiple layers of oscillator networks where each layer detects coherence patterns in the dynamics of layers below, enabling pattern-of-pattern recognition and emergent meta-cognition. Phase templates of known patterns are stored as oscillatory configurations and loaded to prime detection through stochastic resonance. The system extends from physical signal detection to abstract concept recognition, providing a unified substrate for both sensing and reasoning. Applications include defense systems, artificial general intelligence, brain-computer interfaces, and consciousness detection.
