Dimensional Coherence: An Information-Theoretic Framework for Cosmological Evolution
This paper introduces the dimensional coherence framework, a novel information-theoretic approach to understanding universal evolution. We conceptualize dimensions as informational patterns with distinct coherence properties rather than static geometric constructs. Dimensional coherence refers to stable informational relationships that emerge between different degrees of freedom, optimizing energy processing efficiency and enabling structured complexity. By examining how low-frequency stabilizing signals (such as primordial density fluctuations or neural oscillations) create coherence patterns across dimensional configurations, we demonstrate how symmetry breaking events can be understood as dimensional mergers that lock in specific informational signatures. Measurement itself emerges as a thermodynamic process requiring energy to create entropy gradients, naturally establishing boundaries between different information domains. This framework offers new perspectives on fine-tuning, physical laws, and complex structure formation from stars to neural systems, while providing testable predictions across multiple scales of organization.
