MATLAB as a Tool for Enhancing Problem-Solving Skills in Mathematics Education

This paper investigates the use of MATLAB as an effective tool to enhance the problem-solvingskills of mathematics students. As computational methods play an increasingly important role in modernmathematics, it is essential that students become proficient in software that connects theoretical knowledgewith practical applications. MATLAB, known for its strengths in numerical computing and datavisualization, provides a dynamic platform for solving complex mathematical problems. This studyexplores how MATLAB can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts, foster analyticalthinking, and support real-world applications. Through various exercises and case studies, the paperdemonstrates that MATLAB aids in solving problems in algebra, calculus, linear algebra, and differentialequations, allowing students to develop better problem-solving strategies, greater confidence, andenhanced computational skills.
